So sadly I wasn’t able to attend BEA this year (or ever) so
I stalked the crap out of my Twitter book loving friends so I could live
vicariously through them. I had two awesome blogger friends who stalked happily
along with me, Kristen @ My Friends Are Fiction and Pili @ In Love With Handmade. So while chatting
and stalking came the idea to make a post of the books we discovered or became
even more obsessed with getting are hands on and that is how this post was
born. J
While Kris and Pili were very modest with their lists and
make me feel *almost* shameful for being so gluttonous I’ve got a bit of a list
going here compared to their 5 books a piece. *glares at Kris and Pili* I thought you were my people! ;)
Jackaby by William Ritter | The Walled City by Ryan Graudin
| Made for You by Melissa Marr | The Vault of Dreamers by Caragh M. O’Brien | ALittle Something Different by Sandy Hall | TheIron Trial by Holly Black and Cassandra Clare | Stitching Snow by RC Lewis |
Belzhar by Meg Wolitzer | I’ll Give You the Sun by Jandy Nelson | Ghost House
by Alexandra Adornetto | How We Fall by Kate Brauning | Loveis the Drug by Alaya Dawn Johnson | Rooms by Lauren Oliver
| Black Ice by Becca Fitzpatrick | Messenger of Fear by
Michael Grant | On a Clear Day by Walter Dean Myers | TheOnly Thing to Fear by Caroline Tung Richmond | Salt and Storm by Kendall Kulper | Anatomy of a Misfit by Andrea Portes | Falling Into Place by Amy Zhang
Quite an obsession I have with books here! I am not ashamed
to say that a GOOD majority of these I immediately sent emails/checked NG/EW for
ARCs of these books. I’m glad to say that some are in my possession already
also!
Yay Jackaby! you know I went and requested all the books I fell in love with. So many great titles were at BEA this year. I totally forgot the Messenger of Fear on my list!
ReplyDeleteYes!! Jackaby!! Stitching Snow I had already requested before BEA, and was sadly rejected (Hyperion/Disney do not like me!).
ReplyDeleteI think I need to add Messenger of Fear to my TBR list!!
Of those books, I got everything I wanted (I'm not big on contemporary so those really weren't on my radar) except Made For You (since they were doing that signing on Thursday and I didn't get up there until Friday) and Salt & Storm - I totally missed out on those.
ReplyDeleteIf you don't get any of those books, if I have them, you're more than welcome to borrow any! Sharing is caring :) (I have Black Ice, Jackaby, Ghost House, Stitching Snow, The Walled City, Vault of Dreamers & The Iron Trial)
I'm probably going to have to send some requests for a couple of these books too! They look so good!
ReplyDeleteDo it!!!
